My Thriller Evaluation Question 7 – ‘Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?’
A detailed response - you proficiently engage with the question and I'm pleased you focus on your "progress".
The only revision I'd suggest at this stage is to perhaps use more precise examples of what was wrong with your early first cut by explaining exactly what was missing. This avoids over generalisations.
You could also add something like...... rather than using dialogue you felt confident enough in your understanding of film language to use image, diegetic and non diegetic sound to begin your story. Also you may add that in the flashback the diegetic sound of the church bells from St Peter Mancroft Church in Norwich add a sense of the gothic to the film, thus indicating that our film is a thriller with injections of the horror genre. Thus I have made enormous progress with using unexpected aspects on a shoot and incorporating these into the final cut to add another layer of meaning.
Well done Tom, if you include the above this response could be Level 4.
