My Thriller production evaluation

2 comments:

  1. I've had a quick look at your evaluation. Splendid detail but you loose sight of the question.

Check each section should be linked to the question of how your production uses, develops and challenges forms and conventions!!! Thus genre is important.

Will mark in more detail when I've finished marking students' planning.

  2. Well organised Tom and with some helpful references to research.
    Revisions:
    1) When you reference the use of the knife in "Witness" and in the opening sequence in "Wild at Heart" you need to be more specific. Explain where and when the knife is used in Witness and where and when the knife is used in Wild at Heart. I suggest uploading sequences from the films to illustrate your points.

    2) Locations: When is the open space of the Essex Marshes used in Essex Boys and why. When is the open space used in Shallow Grave and why? Be more specific.
    3) Soundtrack: I suggest the soundtrack adds a sense of poignancy to your production, it gives the mise en scene a kind of depth, it suggests the dark heart of the character digging, thus giving this character dimension.

Your comments about enigma are very strong. Be careful that throughout you are referencing the question. Remember the use of the knife and the girl in the body bag are strongly generic.

You points about your use of enigma are excellent.

    Level 3 C/B at present
