The pace of the song could also be good in our thriller as when Michael is following the couple and lurking in the background, the song's slow tempo plays as a part to slow the pace down of the film, making it feel longer, which makes the the audience intigue for the moment of attack.
The music over all plays a part to turn the film eerie as the music is slow but gentle in a way that is causes the film to feel terrifying as it represents the fear of stalkers and the city in the dark, causing the audience to fear what could lurk in the city at night.
A possibility but I think too light!!! Because of the gruesome nature of your thriller opening you need something stronger and darker. You need to save any possible tracks onto a memory stick or MP3 player so that you can experiment whilst you are editing.
